Creating our reputation

Established in 2000 by our Managing Director Tim Brennan, Caper & Berry is an independent, privately owned catering company with strong ambitions but a grounded outlook. We are one of the most recognised premium caterers in London and the Home Counties – We really are huge foodies here at Caper & Berry, and the desire to produce great dishes drives our enthusiasm every day. With a reputation for creativity and flair, we pride ourselves in making food that not only tastes delicious but is visually stunning, and as a result has earnt us a reputation, we are immensely proud of.

Since inception, Caper & Berry has enjoyed a huge amount of success, and this is largely driven by our people. In 2019 we won Wedding and Event Caterer of the Year at the London Catering Awards, and this is down to a dedicated team who put their clients first, and share the same ethos.

Tim Brennan

Managing Director

Our founder Tim still firmly holds his position at the heart of our business. Tim’s unwavering dedication to our clients and their events is what has shaped our company ethos. Driven by his passion to deliver excellent events and ensure we’re continuing his legacy, there isn’t an event he isn’t aware of in the calendar! If you can’t find him in the office, you’ll often find him out on jobs! He loves to be on the pass at Henley Festival with the rest of the team really getting in amongst the operation!

Matt Crow

Executive Chef

Matt’s passion for creating bespoke menus for clients is what really makes us stand out! He has a straightforward approach to creating his dishes and spends a lot of time researching the best suppliers to elevate the ingredients in that dish. Matt has been with the business for over 6 years, and both Matt and Tim frequently bounce ideas off one another, and if he’s not in the kitchen – he’s most likely found in a new restaurant, sussing out the competition!

Tory Whittington

Head of Corporate Sales

Tory looks after the corporate sector of the business and has a vast amount of experience within the London events industry, having previously worked for Lettice and Lady Elizabeth Anson. From VIP dinners for 20 to events of 2,000, Tory is the go-to for events of all types in even the most challenging of venues.

Ellie Pearce-Thomas

Head of Weddings & Private Events

Ellie joined us with a wealth of experience in the hospitality and events industry. She loves her venues and clients alike and prides herself on her commitment to ensuring event briefs exceed expectations and can often be found doing final checks before guests arrive!

Sarah Balsdon

Finance Manager

Sarah is an integral part of Caper & Berry. She ensures that everything related to the financial side of the business runs like clockwork. Sarah we have discovered has a huge competitive streak and loves a challenge. When we host our annual canape cup, she’s right at the front of the queue to start planning her winning canape!

Libby Summers

Business Development Manager

Libby has been with the business for over 10 years! Having started as an Event Manager and then moving into Event Sales. Given her experience with the business and her passion for C&B, her move into her current role was a no brainer! Libby frequently visits our venues and planners alike and is often found in and around London discovering the next best hidden gem!

Stephanie Wiera

Senior Wedding & Private Event Sales

Steffi as she is more affectionately known to us, specialises in looking after some of our bigger venues. Steffi has a wealth of experience working with couples and carefully plans their wedding drawing on her years of experience. In addition, she’s an absolute whizz on the computer and she makes a mean cup of tea for the chef’s in the morning!

Tilly Warren

Wedding & Private Event Sales

With a passion for captivating and tempting our clients tastebuds, Tilly truly loves creating weddings that wow!! Her bubbly and chatty personality make her a firm favourite with clients and wedding planners alike. Her attention to detail and creative flair mean you’ll find her a breath of fresh air to work with.

Andy Boyd

Senior Event Manager

AB as he’s more affectionately known by us in the office, has been in the industry longer than the rest of us…! Andy loves hearing the back story to his client’s events and works tirelessly to ensure the events he delivers are top notch! He’s always one to put a smile on our faces and with his Irish accent, MOB’s absolutely love him!!

Oliver Tester

Senior Event Manager

Oliver Tester – Senior Event Manager – Ollie is our London venues guru, from Kew Gardens to Freemasons Hall, he loves a challenging venue!! He’s an absolute perfectionist, and really enjoys sourcing new and exciting ways to present our food, to ensure we keep ahead of the game, and present our very best selves. Drawing on his previous experience with other high end event caterers, his events repertoire is vast! He also loves planning our office ‘secret’ santa!!

Tom Pirie

Event Manager

Tom started with us as one of the waiting staff working his way up through the business to Intern and now Event Manager under the watchful eye of Tristan, Tim, Andy and Ollie. Tom is a firm favourite with brides and grooms alike, hugely chatty and so friendly, you’ll frequently find him at Hedsor House looking after our lovely couples there!

Saskia Stanford

Event Manager

Like Tom, Saskia was previously an Intern with us before moving into her current position. Saskia is frequently at some of our venues such as Hampton Court House, Busbridge Lakes.

Matty Cogbill

Warehouse Manager

We joke in the office that Matty puts the C, in C&B! Matty looks after all our warehouse operations. One of the original founding team members of the business, Matty has constantly ensured all of our events have the correct equipment for our Event Managers to deliver exceptional events. In addition, his can do attitude mean he’s highly sought after by our teams on jobs, as we all know with Matty, anything is possible!

Gemma Cooke

HR Manager

Gemma works part time for the business, and with our cheeky office banter, she frequently has her work cut out for her. Gemma loves finding new talent for the business, and helping people flourish in their current roles.

Corrina Wilson

Accounts Assistant

Corrina is amazing! She ensures that all of our clients feel well looked after by our accounts team, and she’s a whizz with an excel sheet!! Not only does Corrina ensure that the sales team have all the figures they need to do their job, she’s also a dab hand at planning our office Christmas party! We all agree we’d be lost without her!

Charlotte Capelin

HR & Accounts Assistant

Charlotte splits her time between HR and Accounts. She started on an apprenticeship with us, and then stayed on! Working alongside Sarah and Corrina, Charlotte’s developed a competitive streak too! Like Gemma, Charlotte also really enjoys scouting new talent for the business, and goes through staff applications with Gemma, and puts together very comprehensive training days to ensure our staff are trained in the C&B way!

Rocky Brennan

Office Manager & HR Assistant

Rocky Brennan is Tim’s right hand man! He’s frequently in the office checking on the team and ensuring everyone is paying him attention – he’s like our therapy dog! He does have a few favourites in the office though! Tilly and Corrina – it’s because they feed him treats (organic – obviously!)  for sure! He loves a squishy cuddle!!
